The single-engine Cessna C172 Skyhawk is the world’s most popular and widely produced training aircraft for good reason. It’s an excellent aircraft to train and learn in. We fly the updated C172S variant, with all aircraft fitted with Garmin 1000 avionics, Traffic Alert System and Autopilot. The C172 is the workhorse for our Private Pilot Licence training, Graduate Certificate of Aviation (Piloting), Commercial Pilot Licence hour building and Flight Instructor Rating. CAE MFT began upgrading its C172 aircraft fleet in 2018 by acquiring brand-new models.
Loved by both students and instructors, the twin-engine Piper PA-44 Seminole is an excellent trainer for multi-engine and instrument flying. First produced in 1979, the Seminole is still in production today. Our aircraft are the latest model, featuring Garmin 1000 avionics, Traffic Alert System and Autopilot. The PA44 is mainly used for our Integrated Commercial Pilot Licence + Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating Training. In 2019, CAE MFT initiated the renewal of its PA44 aircraft fleet with the addition of brand-new planes.
The American Champion Aircraft Bellanca 8KCAB Decathlon aircraft are fun high-wing trainers commonly used for aerobatics and spinning. The airframe is rated for aerobatic stresses between +6g and −5g and features a tandem seating configuration and tailwheel undercarriage. We use the Decathlon aircraft for spinning training in our Flight Instructor Rating course as well as Upset Prevention Recovery Training (UPRT) in our Integrated Commercial Pilot Licence course.
Beechcraft‘s turbo-prop twin-engine King Air C90 is a beautiful aircraft to both look at and fly, and has been used in a huge variety of roles globally including military, cargo, civilian transport, and pilot training. The King Air C90 is perfect for high-performance aircraft familiarisation and Multi-Crew Cooperation training required by some of our airline partners.
