Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC)

CAE Melbourne Flight Training is proud to be the first training organisation in Victoria to receive Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Part 142 approval and to deliver a certified Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) course. This achievement demonstrates our commitment to providing industry-leading pilot training aligned with the highest regulatory and operational standards.

For aspiring airline pilots, MCC training is a critical step toward a professional flying career. It is a prerequisite for pilots intending to undertake an Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) flight test and is required for those seeking to operate multi-crew certificated aircraft under CASA Part 61 regulations.

Our MCC course is designed to prepare pilots for the realities of airline and multi-crew operations. The training develops the essential non-technical skills required for safe and effective flight deck performance, including communication, leadership, decision-making, workload management, situational awareness, and teamwork. Participants gain practical experience working as both Pilot in Command and Co-Pilot, building the professional competencies expected by airline operators worldwide.

Unlike aircraft-specific training, the MCC syllabus focuses on the principles and practices of multi-crew operations across a range of aircraft environments. This approach provides graduates with transferable skills that support success in future airline and commercial aviation careers.

The course content satisfies the CASA requirements outlined in the Part 61 Manual of Standards competency unit Manage Flight During Multi-Crew Operations (MCO), providing graduates with the knowledge and skills required for professional multi-crew aviation operations.

Why CAE Melbourne?
